- Réponse (résistance et résilience) des peuplements marins aux forçages d'origine naturelle et anthropique.

- Structure et rôle de la biodiversité dans le fonctionnement des écosystèmes côtiers et hauturiers.

- Développement d’outils et approches méthodologiques pour l’observation, l’évaluation et le suivi de la biodiversité (définition de stratégies d’échantillonnages, de listes d’indices, de protocoles d’analyse, etc.).
