Major sampling of manila clams going on in Chioggia (IT)

From 10 to 14 September, 3 VIVALDI partners (CNRS, F - University of Padova, IT - SYSAAF, F) are gathered  to sample more than 1000 manila clams in the Venice lagoon. These samples will be studied in order to assess their resistance to a parasite (Perkinsus olseni) and a bacteria (Vibrio tapetis). A 4th partner (LABOGENA, F) will then be in charge of parentage assignment. International team work: that's what VIVALDI is about.
